Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish born and bred singer. She was born on 25, December, 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox was a student for three years at the Royal Academy of Music London in 1970s, was accepted. Lennox was paid a stipend and did part-time jobs in order to make ends meet. While in the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied in her ability compared to her student classmates and contemplated a possible alternative path she might follow. Lennox was a flute player in the band Dragons Playground in 1976. The group broke up prior to their appearance on I.T.V's Talent show New Faces. From 1977 until 1980 she was lead vocalist for The Tourists, a British Pop band. Here she met Dave Stewart who would later create Eurythmics. Lennox started working with Diva in 1992. It was her debut album as a solo artist. The album received a lot of praise, both from the press and critics. Nostalgia Lennox's 6th solo album was released in November 2014. The C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs favourite blues and soul jazz tracks from her early years. Also, in May of 2019, Lennox released Lepidoptera an album comprising four tracks improvised by piano. The E.P. The singer-songwriter released her debut solo album along with her work at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled "Now I'm letting You Go." Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on the 25th of December. She is a philanthropist, activist as well as a performer. In the late 70s, she gained a little fame when the lead singer of The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international fame in the 1980s when they formed Eurythmics. Lennox's 1992 debut album Diva was a huge success, featuring a variety of songs like Why, the World is Broken Glass. Medusa the album from 1995 studio, features version covers of the songs No MoreI Love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. The singer has recorded six solo studio albums and one compilation album.
