Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 in Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter, and the sole son daughter of Richard McCormick. Her father was a schoolteacher and her mother was a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two older brothers. McCormick was a gifted singer and performer from an early age. Her passion was to put on shows with puppets for her neighbors. When she won her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 year old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see if McCormick wanted to get into the world of entertainment. McCormick was hired to star in her first major role in 1964 in the tv spot for Mattels latest doll Baby Pattaburp. The same year, she starred in another television commercial for the doll Chatty Cathy. Soon afterward, McCormick was cast at La Jolla Playhouse to play the part of Wind It up before It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was among 1200 other children for the part of the eldest towheaded daughter in The Brady Bunch. The sitcom featured Florence Henderson and Robert Reed, newlyweds who had the same family as a blended one. The show ran for 5 seasons. In her memoir Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice which was published in 2008 McCormick admitted that in the shows fifth season she nearly lost her virginity due to her onscreen brother and co-star Barry Williams. In 2008, McCormick disclosed in her book Heres the story: Surviving Marcia and Finding My True Voice that in season five on the show, she was close to losing her virginity to actor Barry Williams. It was likely that we would have a romantic couple, she added. But the timing wasn't right.
